Hello Nancy, Unfortunately, no, We would not suggest to directly apply this to a painted plywood subfloor as it most likely will not properly bond. Many of our customers choose to lightly sand the painted wood along the glue line, this will allow the glue to bond to the cell structure of the wood and not to the paint and provide a proper bond.

      Hello John,

FA-25 Moisture Barrier All in One Adhesive can be used to install plywood, as well as tile, marble and stone inlays for light commercial and residential applications.

      Hello Paul,

We ship out to the continental US, this means you can purchase the adhesive directly from our website and have it shipped out directly to your location. Many of our customers choose to have their installers purchase the adhesive for them as well.

      Thank You

Does this negate the need to nail wood flooring into place?

      Hello Carrie,

You could have your floor installed in two methods, the nail-down method and the glue-down method, for both methods we would require the homeowner/installer to use adhesive to connect the end joints of the planks to add sturdiness.

If you choose the glue-down method, you do not need to nail down the floor but you would be required to properly glue your planks in the groove and lip of each plank.
In our website, all the way at the bottom you should be able to see where it says “Installation Instructions” you can use this guide to provide to your installer for a better reference.

      Thank You
