Milano’s wear layer is constructed from 4-millimeter solid European Oak hardwood and its core is comprised of two to nine-layer plywood. European Oak flooring is one of the most sought after hardwood choices in the US. These layers are combined to result in a 5/8″(15mm) total plank thickness and each plank measuring to 10-1/4” in width.

Each box of Milano contains 24.63 square feet of engineered hardwood. Wire bristles are used to remove the softer grain within the wood, which accentuates the harder grain and creates a beautifully textured surface with added character. Our flooring is constructed from layers of plywood, topped by a solid European Oak veneer.

      Hello Elizabeth,

We only offer samples as big as 12″ in length by the width of the floor, which in Milano’s case is 10.25″. Many of our customers after receiving samples will usually want to purchase a box to get a full view of the floor’s variation.

      Thank you

  2. Question

    Jacque Hockensmith

Can I lay this over my existing wood floor?

      Hello Jacque,

When floating over a wood subfloor, cover wall to wall with an underlayment overlapped 8” at seams. It is recommended to tape overlapped edges with a low adhesion painters tape. To prepare a wood subfloor for installation, re-nail any loose areas to prevent squeaking. Sand or plane high spots and fill low areas. The moisture content (MC) of a wood subfloor should not exceed 12% In general, the moisture content of the hardwood
flooring is between 6% and 9% and the MC difference between the subfloor and flooring should not exceed 2% on a 3 ¼” or wider flooring.

      Thank you

Consider buying 10% More for Waste

Due to cuts, breaks and other waste when installing your tile, you should multiply the square footage of your area by 10% and purchase enough tile to cover this amount.
